Found this poor them when I opened my trunk. Oh, tiny Mothra, may you fly on and on.

Saw this today on my walk at the greenway.

This junked water heater has been sitting at the edge of a neighbor’s lawn for about a week. Finally saw it head-on today, and *looks around* this is me every time I doomscroll the other place.

Here’s a little graffiti I saw on the greenway. This isn’t the most heinous or even the weirdest stuff I’ve seen, but *looks around* these four words feel too damn apt .

My chunk Oscar is so sad. Because of last night’s snowfall, today’s “TV” show is bereft of birds he can fantasize about killing.

Had a random thought while taking a shower this morning.

Why does Felix remind me of Joan Didion in this pose?

Anyway *shrugs at, you know, the world * here we go. This is me and a friend when I was around that age. And, yes, I was little tipsy.

This is an interesting juxtaposition, except the Yautja have an ethical code.

One month from today, my debut novel AND THE TRAIN KEPT MOVING will be released by Running Wild Press. This has been a long, long time in coming, and I can't believe my novel is almost out in the world. It's available for preorder everywhere, but here you go:

Today’s book mail also included the wonderfully talented @stephanieaustin.bsky.social’s debut collection of essays SOMETHING I MIGHT SAY. The titular story, which is also the first, is brutally beautiful. Lines like this are gut punches in the best way: “Oncologists are the most hopeful people.”

Book mail! I just got my copy on @stanchion.bsky.social‘s twelfth issue. Picking through it, but Ella Latham’s poem “The Tomato at the End of the World” has a killer opening line: “Be an utter slut for tomatoes in August.”
