Great way to support the fishing economy: take away the labor force on the processing side and increase the physical danger at sea.

It has a fairly significant immigrant population due to the tourist and fishing economies.

As unpopular as ICE raids on n Newport would be, even more unpopular is the apparent displacement of Coast Guard rescue helicopter stationed at Newport.

Interestingly, if people live to somewhere around 80 and don’t have any chronic health issues, they tend to keep on cruising along for another 10-20 years.

Essentially, they have dodged all of the actuarial bullets that kill people at that point.

Late to the party, but I planned to use the sunny weather today (a wet week here) to tidy up some loose ends on our barn construction. And hang out with the horses, catch up with My Beloved, and stare at nature some.
