Have started the Atkinson Maigrets! No matter how flawed, this or the recent, just love these productions. Wondering if they’ll make more of the new one. Have great hopes for Gabin also. Will watch that after these

Still working my way through the other series. Reading the books as I go :) waiting for the second chapter to Maigret Comes Home aka the Saint-Fiacre Affair, which is one I know well. I will catch up with the Atkinsons soon!

Have watched Monsieur Spade. Just the first episode. Didn’t latch on. Perhaps I just have the Bogart too ingrained. Love Clive Owen. But… something. Can’t remember what. Spade in France? Have you been to France? That old joke: I hate intolerance… and the French. I’ll give it another try 🙂

I’m liking the series. Only 3 eps in so far. They are rationing us here in the States. Lazy Burglar was a really smart choice for the opener. I think Maigret is mostly coming through but it does lean more clue-based (Sherlock) than the books I think. Want to see the Rowan also. And Gabin!

I pulled the trigger! Only 2 eps available for me till next week but watched those. It’s like a cross between Sherlock and Slow Horses. Not bad but def its own show as you say. Not the Maigret in my head when I read the books! But watchable. And then I found the Jean Gabin. Will give that a go also
