I've seen a lot of people describing Superman as 'the most comic book movie' and I know what they mean. Excited to see where the DC film universe is going from here, because this has potential.

I discovered Jack Stauber through his film Opal, and it instantly became one of my favourites - so weird but affecting - exactly what I want from horror.

David Romero I'm also familiar with, but those other two artists I haven't heard of. They sound fascinating!

I loved reading We Are Here to Hurt Each Other when it first came out. I keep hoping Paula D Ashe can write another great collection some day!

And I didn't even mention the unique horror elements - the monsters are so creepy and only become more traumatic with each passing night. But there are enough psychological horror elements that the story as a whole can be deeper and more interesting than monsters and blood alone.
