My little indie that could keeps on chugging. “The Next Black Man …” just made the QF round in the Emerging Screenwriters drama comp. Thanks to the judges who took my story to heart. On to the semis! #scriptsky

COMPLICATIONS
A widower juggles roles of father, mother, breadwinner and ex-gang member while grappling with the death of his wife, and hoping to make the most of a chance encounter with the woman who may be his missing piece. Or not. #ScreenPit

RED BALL
Months after D-Day, four African American GI truck drivers and their white platoon leader from the Deep South fight Nazis, a ruthless sniper, and their own demons in the Red Ball Express, the supply-chain operation that kept U.S. forces moving through France. #ScreenPit

IN TALKS
Two journalists at competing entertainment trade pubs work to get dirt and dish on celebrities and studios while trying to prevent their own big reveal: They’re a couple. That secret pales compared to another: One of their companies is buying the other. #ScreenPit

The year of Oh My Lord 2024 started out such a downer. So it was a fine surprise to get up today and discover my urban dramedy, The Next Black Man in Beverly Hills, is a quarterfinalist in the 2025 L.A. International Screenplay Awards. A palate cleanser like no other. Deeply grateful. #scriptsky

This is from one of my pilots, fwiw. All the ones I've seen elsewhere omit the V.O. It seems to be implicit in use of PRE-LAP that the V.O. is automatic.

I remember what you don’t, and I’m not alone. Some of her distinctions from Biden even preceded the campaign. They’re hardly the “same shit”

Another breakthrough: Rubicon Falls, my pilot for a dystopian TV series, is in the quarterfinal round of the ISA/Emerging Screenwriters Sci-Fi & Fantasy Competition. A pretty good year's getting better! Thanks to all my believers.

I'm starting to like this year: RED BALL, my WWII diversity action script about a little-remembered supply project, has been named a Quarter-Finalist in the Emerging Screenwriters Screenplay Competition. Thanks to everyone who's supported me. Fingers crossed for the semis!
