Bit late, but wanted to finalize my top 10 games for 2025 before the ResetEra GOTY vote deadline. Turns out that got extended, ha, but I'm locking these in regardless.
Living through 2025 was grim, but good games and good friends did a lot to help get me through. Some new all-timers in my top 5.

Personal GOTY is the Silent Hill 2 remake, but given the options happy to give it to my runner-up for 2024: Metaphor: ReFantazio. One of Atlus's best; alongside Persona 3 and SMT: Nocturne for me.
Didn't pick SH2 for Narrative + OST cuz I rather a new game win those.

Finished the Silent Hill 2 remake earlier.
As someone that grew up watching playthroughs of the PS2 original (cuz I was too scared to play it), I'm thrilled to have finally played an excellent version of this game and experience its masterpiece story for myself. Genuinely loved it; easily my GOTY.

Finished the Silent Hill 2 remake earlier.
As someone that grew up watching playthroughs of the PS2 original (cuz I was too scared to play it), I'm thrilled to have finally played an excellent version of this game and experience its masterpiece story for myself. Genuinely loved it; easily my GOTY.
