I use the Kara Eastman example all the time. She cost the Democratic party a seat they could probably be holding today. And while Behn might not have won, a closer race would have panicked more GOP reps.

Very true, but had Hillary won she could have safely retired so while this was a huge mistake the outcome would have been the same.
