10/1/25: FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR THE WAPITI BURN SCAR IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY PM: Heavy rainfall could trigger flash flooding and debris flows in and downstream of the Wapiti burn scar.

9/9/25: New Flash Flood Warning issued for The Wapati burn scar in west Central Custer County. Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Wapiti Burn Scar. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

7/28/25: The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a Flood Watch including Lemhi County. It doesn't look like much moisture on radar. However, there is very limited radar coverage for central Idaho, due to the mountains, elevation and distance from NEXRAD sites.
