He got home games against all three of the teams who got relegated along with two games away to those teams. Also Blackburn and Sunderland were in awful form when we played them.
If we go down we go down but not without a fight.

This is from the statement Grant put out post the sacking of Des. I would argue results are worse than last year with better players.

We also have teams below is I firmly believe won't stay below us. Gr had an Impact at the begin of time but also had a very kind fixture list.

Shame the article didn't read the current Oxford united head coach was sacked. Still tomorrow brings new hope 🙏

Why?
He has proved time and again he hasnt got a clue. He was a manger I never wanted playing a style of football that is awful to watch. We used to have mangers we could be proud of now we have one who won't clap fans after a performance like that.

Not with him in charge I doubt it. When he first took over he made some small changes and improved us. We are now worse than when he took over. Not many previous managers can claim that in recent history.

He did show what he's worth

Another way of looking at this once he had a chance to fully intergrate his ideas and tactics we are the second worst team in the championship and what does that mean for next year?
Could we have done better if Des had just been given more support. New assistant and the January transfer window.

Rowlet was also able to add to the squad in January and didn't have to content with the level of injury Des did. Ie Cam missing so many games and being forced to play a different formation due to injuries to forward players.
Plus the football is so poor to watch.

Currently if you look at the results against the same teams the two managers got to face Des got one more point.

9 points from GR time came from Plymouth, Cardiff and Luton all at home while they were all in the relegation zone. Des only got to play against Luton away. I still think by end of season of GR stays his points per game will be lower than Des.

Can’t they? They have before and we had a weaker squad then with more injuries and they decided results weren’t good enough.
However for tomorrow and Saturday we have to get behind the boys. #coyy

I personally don’t think so but not sure we can answer that fully until the end of the season. New manager had a good start with a very favourable fixture list. Has been really bad last month or so and I for one am very worried about the current performances.
