I'm not sure the younger generation appreciate Bovril ? Made a cup for our youngest son once and he seriously thought I was taking the piss out of him.. "This can't be a real drink surely ? " etc.. Ha Ha. Fair to say he wasn't a fan.

I'm fairly certain my Dad has some form of early Dementia. But to be honest when I spoke to him last week. I kind of go out of my way to say things to him that doesn't give him the opportunity to make "mistakes" as it were.

When my Wife used to do the big Christmas dinner for family & friends. Her Brother (unasked) would always do all the washing up afterwards. If I'd been any sort of man, I would have got up and given him a hand. But you know.. I didn't want to steal his thunder.

Walk round the city wall can be pleasant in places, and a little less busy. Dungeon visit was quite entertaining in an amusing Am Dram sort of way. Quite a few short boat trips along the river.

Never watched Happy Days that often. However I have a Aunt who lives in New York. And when she visited one summer she gave me a Fonz T.Shirt, before it had been screened over here. When I wore it, people would say.. "Who the fuck's that ?" .. Then when it was shown, I was like Mr Trendsetter. Ha Ha.

Gregory Peck might've been good, though it would've been early for him. Not sure he would've brought the same warmth or fragility that Stewart did though ? Terrific film.

Stood outside a dress shop in Blackpool, which my Wife was in. Some "Jesus Salesmen" started heading towards me, so I made my escape into the shop.. "Oh good you can tell me which of these dresses you like the best ?" my Wife says to me. She wasn't amused when I just stood there and said "Energise!"

Ever the gullible type. I was pretty old when it finally dawned on me that Santa wasn't real. Can't recall exactly how old ? But can remember saying to my Mother I'd finally worked it all out Junior Columbo style. And my Mother effectively saying "Oh my God you're a bit old to be just realising "
