Beautiful world, beautiful Kluane. The world moves along at its own pace as we people move along at ours - though we are not separate, at times it feels so much so. We are being drawn into the mire by speed - quicksand. The solution, stop… sit still. Maybe that’s the radical act needed right now.

Flight into Mt. Logan, Canada’s Tallest peak located in Kluane National Park, Yukon. Too many beautiful pics to share of the various parts of the ice field and all the peaks around Mt.Logan.

Canada strong and free. Elbows up and keep Americans at bay from thinking they can take a piece of this beauty!! Caribou Mountain hike near Carcross Yukon. Beautiful!

I love porcupines. They understandably run away when I’m near them, but the lovely one in the photo stuck around. We allowed ourselves to be in each other’s company exchanging our mutual curiosity. Other pics are of Kathleen Lake, Dezadeash Lake, and King’s Thrown.

Biking on the Haines Pass. A wee bit chilly, but some nice views still and snow!

This is my favorite time at the cabin - quiet, snow still remains, the days getting longer and warmer... heaven!

St.Elias trail in Kluane was perfect for a quick hike/jog on the snowshoes. No sign of any bears waking up yet! Canadian National Parks are one of the many the jewels of Canada 🇨🇦.

Despite arthritis and a virus… you still sound good Bruce! Keep on rollin’!

Oh Canada Strong and Free. Some beautiful pictures of Kluane National Park. Canada is Not For Sale and grateful for public parks for all to enjoy. Bring back good ol’ Canadian Snowshoeing - maybe we can start a wooden snowshoe manufacturing boom!!

Think this is a good take that still holds, I would argue even more so in the present, as to how we should conceive of our identities:

Snowshoeing is one of my favorite past times during the Canadian winter. Especially when wearing mukluks and blinded by lampwick onto traditional wooden shoes - not only do I never get cold, my bindings never come off. Sometimes the old ways just work better!! Some pics of beautiful Kluane Yukon.

Some pics from Art Centre in Whitehorse Yukon. Naoko’s Yukon Taiko opened for the visiting Raw Taiko Group. I’ll post a link to a RAW performance in a reply - strong and talented group of people.

Just watched Spike Lee’s Blackkklansman for the first time on Netflix - see it before they take it down if you haven’t. Pretty on point after getting through this past week.

Always found this last passage in Franz Fannon’s “Black Skin, White Masks” one of the more poignant and hopeful summons - a call to reflect on what true human freedom and interpersonal reciprocity is and can be. Radical hope is what we all need and deserve at this juncture.
