An interesting aspect is that the RFU (UK Rugby) allow case by case assessment for age group categories and players playing down. The gender critical arguments against case by case with trans athletes are inconsistent with rugby's own age group rules.

'When they win' was just shorthand. I was also going to put feminism in inverted commas. I agree with Ahmed and others- GC is not feminism.

Always been a problem for me with their feminism. When they win their mini-battle against trans women, what comes next. Once trans women are all out of women's sports, what target is next in producing greater power for women athletes? What is next for prison reform? There is nothing.

And it is a truly brilliant and eye-opening book.
