Retired. Author - Most recent two books - Learn to See the Invisible & How to Do a Gemba Walk. Stay busy with a number of volunteer activities and moderate a bi-weekly discussion group on Global Issues.
Thought I'd share some of the content from Learn to See the Invisible. There are four foundations in the book:
1. Reflection
2. Clarity of Purpose
3. Build Relationships
4. Visual Leadership

Fortunately, the California fires are nowhere near us. Other than donating some blood and contributions to Red Cross, not many other actions I can take.

Red Cross donations will be down as a result of people in the LA area being busy with other important matters.

Great story about leadership, adversity, lack of fairness, obstacles in life & perseverance in the Six Triple Eight a WWII Unit of black women. Work done by this unit was awesome!

I admired Lt. Col. Adams willingness to excel with her team even though senior leadership put obstacles in her path.

2024 is coming to a close. I periodically reflect on what is happening in my life, what I'm doing now, and whether there are any changes I wish to explore. I'll pick one or two new things to try.

I'm curious what steps others take to pause and reflect? How do you hold yourself accountable?

BookSky 💙📚Not sure how many readers care about business books. My latest, "Learn to See the Invisible," was released and is available via Amazon. It's intended to guide leaders in seeing things tomorrow, that their eyes/ears may miss today. The world needs better leaders!

I have also read and liked Amy Edmondson's Right Kind of Wrong. Amy was kind enough to also give me an endorsement on my latest writing, "Learn to See the Invisible."

How do you learn? Do you learn more from someone telling you how to do something or do you learn best when you can visualize it and experiment on your own to figure things out?

Surprised to see a number of post here about Gemba Walks. I'm currently working on an update to "How to Do a Gemba Walk." I'll be adding two new chapters:
1. Keeping your Gemba Walks Fresh and Meaningful
2. Outside Executive Gemba Walk

Thought I would check out BlueSky. I hardly ever use "X". Kind of excited as my most recent book was published last month - Learn to See the Invisible. Available on Amazon. It's targeted toward mid-level organizational leaders.
