Is that redemption for the shambles of the cup game two seasons ago particularly for Ballard & also for Hume when he came on?

Also, although they have undoubted quality, isn’t it funny how when Newcastle don’t have a miles better than us, they couldn’t beat us yesterday?

To put some perspective onto it. As frustrating at the defeat to Fulham was, Sunderland‘s immediate target as far as I’m concerned is get to 40 points as quickly as possible.

To do that, we need to get 21 points from 26 Premier League games. Do you feel this is realistically achievable? Imo it is.

Agree that a point's decent given how bad the first 30 mins was. Shows our character when we've gained eight points now from losing positions. Is it still a good weekend for Sunderland that, despite West Ham's win, nobody at the bottom won & we're currently still 11 points clear of the bottom three?

Five of our last six without scoring is concerning but why isn’t more being made of the fact we’re conceding poor goals recently?

Sick of this being ignored. We’re not conceding loads of good chances but is it not as concerning that the few that are being created are results in goals against us?

Getting a bit tired of hearing the 'we can't flick a switch and turn it on for the play-offs' personally. I get why people say it but I mean, come on. If the players can't find that extra percentage, regardless of cohesion & momentum, then should any of them be playing in games of that magnitude?

Does this game prove why we don’t use 4-4-2? Yes we beat Sheff Utd with it but I’ve not been convinced with it. Preston & Plymouth games spring to mind.

While we were still very poor for the standards we’ve set, we had slightly more control when we shifted back to 4-3-3 in my opinion.

Is Mayenda proof that fans often definitively judge a player too quickly? Just because someone isn’t the finished article straightaway it doesn’t automatically mean they’re a poor player.

Although a poor run of form is obviously never a good thing, is it better to happen now to then (hopefully) regain momentum ahead of the playoffs should we finish there?

At what point can the officials be criticised without people jumping down our throats?

Ref was NOT the reason we didn’t beat Watford but doesn’t mean he can’t be held accountable for own performance. Which for me personally was especially shocking in the second half i.e. Isidor non penalty.

One clean sheet in 10 games. At what point are we going to stop exclusively pointing everything at going forward (should’ve took our chances) if we keep conceding stupid goals at the other end? When is the amount of poor goals recently going in against us going to be highlighted?

How important is it to recognise Sunderland, like everyone else in the Championship, are susceptible to bad runs? Tired of seeing some fans tear our team down while bigging everyone else like they’re invincible.

Tomorrow the first of a few (on paper) winnable games this month. If we’re still looking at top two then we need to win a few of the games this month to keep in the picture going into the transfer window next month.

I have a gut feeling we’ll win - assuming it gets played. Been wrong before though!
