When I was in high school, I left the Methodist Church because of hypocrisies on the part of the minister and his "inner circle". I really started questioning the need for and validity of religion. After that, I would challenge the team chaplain calling out the hypocrisies of the Catholic Church.

I have no issue with folks needing something more than they've been given. I have a problem with the religious telling me that I need to live my life based on their beliefs. I don't need religion to be a good person. Most Christians are a poor example of how we should live. Most are pure hypocrites.

My "sins" don't impact the ability of a religious hot head from getting into whichever fairy land in which they believe. I don't have to believe in a make-believe excuse, with his threats of eternal damnation, to be a good person. Stay out of my life.
