Might be referring to the supposed legal right you have to backup physical media you purchase legally. Not sure if this has ever been tried in court or not. DRM makes that tough, though, so you're back to piracy.

I finally played through KOTOR a couple of years ago. That very last section and boss fight was fucking atrocious. Never again.
