Here’s what’s next. With STREETS OF NASHVILLE (the book) six months old, AVALON MOON in the pipeline for May 2026, JACOB’S LIMP (working title) is at the halfway point of the first draft. At almost 67, I ain’t got time to slow down. Still having fun!

My final draft of AVALON MOON is off to Madville! Looking forward to the next months as this story becomes a book.

I set aside 7 copies of STREETS OF NASHVILLE for a Goodreads giveaway, hoping that at least 7 people would enter. I got the results yesterday. Over 5,000 people entered, and close to that number shelved it as "Want to Read"!

I was listening to a Tony Hillerman audiobook on Spotify, when Audible apparently got jealous and sent me a notification.

An all-time favorite album: Jackson Browne's LIVES IN THE BALANCE (1986).

I wanna know who the men in the shadows are.
I wanna hear somebody asking them why
They can be counted on to tell us who our enemies are
But they are never the ones to fight and to die.
There are lives in the balance . . .

Ezra MacRae's song "Big Rain's Coming," shot by my friend Sam Barnett at the STREETS OF NASHVILLE launch @atlasbooksjc, 4/22/2025. Not a perfect performance on my part, but you get the idea.
