Underscores that despite all the hoopla and demagoguery, at core he is fundamentally a weak candidate. Never won popular vote, his policies aren’t widely liked, every vote further from his base is more hard-won. Hopefully he behaves like a vampire in the sunlight of a rebooted Dem effort.
