Increasingly leaning to the left in my world view. Some of my clothes are older than my work colleagues. Live music, proper beer and good food, enjoyed with family and friends - old and new, makes me happy.
Punchy Pete.

KCC reform (60million in the red) are wasting £100k per year on political advisors.

So much for their DOGE initiative

Merry Griftmas one and all.

Clearly substandard glitter used for the rolling.

It’s amazing how the human body keeps going when the brain is rotted, dormant & essentially non functioning; basic motor centres such as speech, mobility etc keep neurons firing, even though there is no cognitive input. This will continue until the body withers and dies, it’s wondrous to observe.

Distraction technique. Makes a big fuss, doesn’t answer the question.

Or possibly it was before someone or something triggered the growth into what we see now.

Perhaps she’s mellowed with age?
Or matured?

She’d be appalled at what a wet hand wringing liberal she was portraying!

I wonder if she met her younger self, would she be happy with what she has become?

Im in my mid 50’s and this is our 4th and forever house.
A bungalow is not attractive in any way shape or form.
We’re not downsizing in our 60’s. We’re going to enjoy the house mortgage free.
We’d rather adapt the house for later life, building an annex if needed than move.

They are going to decide the name of their party. That’s possibly the only thing I’m interested in, oh and their proposal of having rotating leader - there will be endless comedy value on that if it happens; mind you the last throws of the Tory government saw a similarly applied concept.

Never forget who the Daily Fail chooses to side with.

Can choose a relatively low risk unit trust that is based on bonds, overnight lending rates and short term loans etc… to balance your portfolio. I’d also recommend using a platform that allows for switching funds with low or no charge.

I push back on the science/ chemistry etc is evil vibes that using the term poisoning generates. It’s Emotive and incorrect in this context. It’s the inference and subtext I don’t agree with. In other discussions the use of “incorrect” phraseology is frequently called out.

But war and peace comments are difficult with limited characters

I don’t agree with the tree killing either
November 27, 2025 at 6:28 PM
“A poison that kills plants”. That’s the point. Its mode of action is to kill the plant by binding to the EPSPS enzyme. “Poisoning” is misplaced & typical of unnecessarily emotive language used around agrochemicals to grab headlines, even when this story is about killing the saplings.
November 27, 2025 at 6:27 PM
Bit emotive to say poisoned. Killed is the correct term. The use of “poisoned” has a different overtone which is associated with humans and animals, not plants… it’s an inaccurate term in this context & is symptomatic with the reporting on agrochemicals, which tends to portray them negatively.

He could have said he was young and did/said stupid stuff & he isn’t that person now…. But he apparently wants to play up to his racist admirer’s. He is quite worried about his association with and eulogising of the traitorous Nathan Gill. Add to this the shitshow that’s KCC and it’s all very clear.

I’ll remind you when there is, but thanks for the advice.
November 25, 2025 at 7:12 PM
Normally it’s “I’m not a racist, but…”
“I was a racist, but…” is a bold move, only to be eclipsed by “I am a racist, and….”

Is he touring with Jim Davidson.

Palestine Action are at their core violent terrorists. Some easily led people peacefully protest and wonder why they’re arrested for supporting them. It’s because they assault police officers with sledgehammers. There are better ways to protest and support Palestine.

Police officer unable to dress after Palestine Action hammer attack
The officer could not drive, shower or dress herself after being struck with a sledgehammer.

It was a sick opportunistic move to try to steamroller Zelenskyy into a one sided maximalist agreement when he was dealing with allegations of corruption (in which senior officials allegedly stole millions from Energoatom).
