I enjoyed it - I love these types of games and the premise was cool. it gets pretty wild by the end.
a scene looking up at a lighthouse at night, which is broadcasting two beams of light an image of three dead seagulls in a dirt pit. the character is holding a shovel (first person perspective) a surreal image of some kind of white low poly corpse on a floor lit by surrounding candles. there’s a black hole in the corpse’s torso and an orb that the main character is holding (first person perspective) a first person view of rowing away in a boat looking at the island in the background. it’s shrouded in fog but the lighthouse can be seen at the top of a hill.

there’s an indie psychological horror movie that was inspired by the lighthouse

it has PS1 style graphics and you can beat it in a couple hours (or maybe several if you try to figure everything out without a guide)
the title screen for the game, no one lives under the lighthouse. it shows an unlit lighthouse at night with a seagull flying by. screenshot of the game looking out over an island with minecraft style graphics. the subtitles say “Good luck. Don't lose yer mind from the loneliness” a view inside the lighthouse looking up at a spiral staircase with some light coming through the grated metal steps. a night scene where a shadowy figure is standing below the unlit lighthouse at night under a cloudy sky. the subtitles say “The sun is no longer visible and the lighthouse is still unlit. Where has the new keeper gone?”

the Lucky trait has turned out to help in a lot of situations, and it’s also funny as shit
approaching an object with this description: “CLINIC CHEMSET This gizmo looks really complicated. And probably expensive. You can't tell much from looking at it, but most of the vials are pretty empty of materials.” there are two options. “Formulate Coagulant” requires a higher medical skill than I have. but with my Lucky trait I can select “Randomly Mix Chemicals and Hope for the Best” a doctor asks “How did you manage to formulate coagulant with only a handful of ingredients?” the conversation choices are: 1. I'm just that good. 2. Honestly? Your guess is as good as mine. 3. (selected) I don't have time to get into the details.
