Using hydrogen as fuel. We used solar panels to produce about 30 mL of hydrogen and oxygen from distilled water. The hydrogen was used to produce about 1.5 volts to power some small devices. Electrochemistry is pretty cool.

Today, my student advisor is telling me I should get writing 327 out of the way for spring term. Otherwise, I'll wind up with two math classes. Nooooope, I'll take that writing class, please, and thank you.

I've been vaguely searching for a good math app, preferably free. What would be cool is practice problems that will show me the steps to solving the problem once I input an answer. The app then gives me a new problem to solve.

Watching scientists debunk flat earth hypothesis is a fun way to test what I'm studying in classical mechanics. There are times, though, when I can understand why they get confused! Scale and the concept of closed systems tend to go over their heads. Some things might seem counterintuitive.

Visiting the parental units in AZ reminds me how much I miss the desert. However, the Phoenix metrplex is unsustainable. Working on a BSE in renewable energy has me thinking about the ways that the valley can prepare for a future of excessive heat and water shortages.
