An idea! Maybe we should all add an additional final item to all our addresses, "The World". EG I live at "125 Main St, Charlotte, NC, The World"...as a reminder that we're all part of a whole and our borders are not immutable boundaries.
Sometimes I think too much lol.

I think a lot about nations and borders and divisions.. ideas of "my country" vs "your country", and the troubles that can lead to. Maybe if we all saw the entire world as "ours" instead, there'd be less struggles over who belongs where, etc.

This is very close to the question of "Where is home"? At what point are you "home" when in a new country? When you decide you are? When others decide you are? Immediately? Never?

My guess is that this mostly gets started either in border areas (intermixing of cultures) or by Mexicans living in the US and fashioning their Spanish to be more like English
