Lucas Cranach the Elder, 1530 : Judith and Holopherne. The young Judith, fully clothed in a gorgeous dress of red with lots of necklaces, with a large red hat, holds a sword high and clean in her right hand and the severed head of Holopherne is under her left hand, in an almost tender move. She looks baguely in the viewer's direction, but doesn't seem concerned, she is lost in her dreams.
