Woke and autistic - Jasper, my owner, is as much me as myself and far prettier.

If you switch on level scaling for the enemies it's rock solid and even an encounter with a pack of wolves is a challenge.

However, you can play it on easiest level and enjoy it like a movie if you want.

Nobody loses out.

I'd just rather see games where the maximal number of people can enjoy and complete them.

Something like Dark Souls is great for people who want to die a lot and get a kick out of hard gaming.

It's a waste of money for anyone else.

Witcher 3 got it about right. Death March is a hard setting.

I know this may come as a shock to you but people whose preferences you don't agree with also get to have their say.

Most game designers nowadays are adept at providing some sort of extreme difficulty level.

It's always a form of gatekeeping or people would just do their own thing and not be aggressively trying to fit in with others and point out who isn't part of it.

Some games are just a sack of wank, it's that simple. And they ruin it for themselves by being lazy.
January 26, 2025 at 7:08 PM
I'd rather have fun. I'd rather play something well made.

I have had my moments of losing it at well made games and persevering. Something like Super Metroid or Zelda Link To The Past. Where once you get a grip on it it's beatable. Even if it was hard to suss out.
January 26, 2025 at 7:08 PM
No.
If a game throws a brick wall at me that's not fun to beat it's going on the back burner, probably permanently.

I don't mind something that's actually a challenge you can overcome but when it's a tedious bullet sponge war of attrition with unplayable dynamics it's piss poor design.

Fashion. The constant desire to move the goalposts on what's cool to wear/watch/listen to/follow just so you can humiliate and exclude anyone behind the curve (or anyone uninterested in joining in).

Why? What's the point?

Blatant Nazi salute appears to be just like a Nazi salute drawing speculation that it could be something other than a Nazi salute from utter cowards masquerading as journalists.
January 21, 2025 at 12:31 AM
That's because you weren't saying something remotely reasonable. Disgusting.

You're supposed to be taking some sort of moral high ground against Nazis and yet here you are.
January 21, 2025 at 12:18 AM
Huh? What the hell are you on about?

I'd like you to very clearly explain the link between being autistic and being attracted to Nazism.

Yeah we knew it was something. Didn't stop us being fucking horrible to you, obviously, but we always knew there was something up.

We haven't spoken for years. All the girls chose him over me. 😉

It's a marvellous idea.

Everyone should copy her and he should be left alone, blinking and confused, in a massive empty auditorium. Even the building staff should quietly leave as soon as he arrives.

It's an autocorrect mishap because I meant deprecation (it just tried to do it to me again but this time I was ready for it) and I'm pretty sure you knew I did. But top drawer condescension. That means talking down to people.
January 13, 2025 at 8:16 PM
OMG I'm autistic. I'm not supposed to get jokes and I'm outperforming 99% of these replies.

It's satirical humour, folks. Self depreciation. Sorry, I just used a big word. He's mocking a particular mindset. Is particular a big word? Fuck!

I assumed you were snarking at Jools Holland.

His Hootenanny is prerecorded.

The fact that this book (just insert anything outside what authoritarians think are rigid social norms for left handedness) exists for people today and ought not to seems to fly over people's heads way more than it should.

Great post!

Please stop adding stigma to people suffering from some form of mental illness in this way.

Yes, often an identifiable mental illness is a factor. But by no means always. Sometimes people just have really poor access to information and make very poor decisions based on a warped world view.
