I dont get the hatred of Scrappy, I personally preferred him over Scooby. Scooby was just an annoying fumbling stoner dog. Scrappy actually tried to get something done. As for Scooby Dum, it beggars belief when you look back on it that they allowed it. But then thats much of our childhood.

Politicians and football managers are probably the only two professions where you get rewarded for being bad at your job. Politicians either get pay offs or promoted it seems. Football managers just get the pay off but always end up employed again by someone.

My first guess has been Gerrard doesnt want to work under the "coach" structure and wanted to be an old school manager that's more involved. When you actually look at the Rohl story, you can see why they might take a chance on him. Personally I'd push out the boat for Marco Rose.
