Hearing the word “tertile” for the first time.

It’s refers to markers that splits ordered data into three groups.

I often rely to LLMs to pick more meaningful CTE names and column aliases, because they do a decent job.

TIL that GPT-5, which I seldom use but expect to be trained on more recent data, wrongly thinks that BigQuery doesn’t yet support GROUP BY ALL.

I’ve been waiting for this moment for so long. Good too see @bearnotesapp.bsky.social giving Obsidian a run for their money.

The correlation between my stress levels and my chess rating has been paying off. I’ve gained at least +50 elo points in the past few weeks.

This is what did it for me. Till this day, I curate, relish (and reverse engineer) the good ones.
2. Read widely and develop your taste. Pay attention to when something is written really clearly or stylishly. Keep track of examples and steal structures and patterns.

3. Outline and reverse outline. Make sure there is a crystal clear logical flow from one idea to the next.

I found myself nodding along to many points made in this article.

But the question that stuck with me is this: "Is a life without bread objectively better than a life with it?"

My birthdays are usually low-key. This one, with the Gaza ceasefire and TikTok ban, will be unforgettable.

Hoping for better days for all.

Despite the threat of tariffs and mass deportations, the stock market has being doing great. It’s because investors are betting Trump is all bark and no bite.

As a reminder, despite all of the noise made about ICE under Trump, the Obama administration deported far more people. It’s not even close.
