i asked my papa tonight what his greatest piece of advice for life would be.

“be yourself”

i then asked him to write that down (bc i want to get his handwriting tattooed). he added in a few more notes as well.

here’s what he wrote:

my papa is the only grandparent i have left. we lost mama two months ago, and my dad’s parents years before that.

i’m so much more aware of how much our time left together is fleeting so i’m determined to make it count.

I’m sad i didn’t do this when my other grandparents were alive, but i am now.

i am so here for this chaotic energy
