I am so incredibly proud of my daughters. The girls decided for themselves what they wanted to write on their signs. Several people around us affirmed and encouraged them.

CO2 isn't a large portion of our atmosphere, but you can see how the 52% increase we've caused would make a significant impact on holding heat in rather than let it radiate out to space.

~60% of all fossil fuel emissions have occurred since I was born in 1988. Over 10% occurred after my first child was born.

Arctic ice coverage, glacier retreat, cherry blossom timing, and ocean acidification (among others) are all strong warning signs we must heed.

Humanity has enjoyed a very stable climate for the past 10k years. We developed agriculture and built civilization in that time span. Climate change is taking us out of this safe boundary.

I spent much of the day at OSU to raise awareness about climate change.
The inflatable is a prop I brought to represent how much CO2 is emitted from burning a single gallon of gasoline. Most people were surprised how big it is.
Let's commit to work together to care for our home.
