This poor woman got all the way through and was picked for this jury then was breaking down saying she just couldn't handle even more jury work. She had already served on another jury since her ten month stint.

The most LA thing about last year's trial was that someone got dismissed because they had previously served ten months on the Phil Spector jury

This was about this time last year, in downtown LA. It might have been this way because it seemed pretty open and shut and the public defenders didn't call any witnesses or put up much of an argument. But the LA civil trial I was on years ago against a big insurance company was also similar

I was on a jury for a murder trial in LA last year and the experience was pretty similar to what you mention for Baltimore, they just had a quick list of questions about your experience being a victim of crime, then they accepted most everyone that wasn't obviously an asshole trying to get out of it

My previous 100 year old LA apartment had a toilet paper holder built into the wall that was not nearly sized for all these modern 'mega' roll constructions. The only thing you could buy at Ralphs that would fit in there by default was the cheapest, scratchiest paper.
