So this week I was in SF. Visited the Presidio and saw there was an exhibit on Japanese Exclusion at the Officers' Club, so we went in. My teen has been learning about Fred Korematsu in civics, and I want him to understand this history. The exhibit was powerful. But--
What the Trump administration wants to do by creating these camps is monstrous enough. But a key thing I found when writing a book on concentration camp history is that when you establish this kind of detention, it tends over time to devolve into much worse kinds of camps.

The move would be a drastic escalation by the White House to militarize immigration enforcement.
