Agreed. The only way to definitively exonerate someone from the charge of committing a crime (murder, in this case) is to let them have their day in military or civilian court.

Even if this happened in international waters off the coast of Florida, the strikes would be questionable. Venezuela is nowhere near the US, to say they are 100% certain that these boats are heading to the US.

Can you imagine if there were a video of American soldiers hanging on the side of a disabled boat, and then the boat get struck by a missile?
