The youth are here at SB62 making their voices heard! Youth have been officially recognized as a constituency within the UNFCCC process since 2011 when YOUNGO was formalized. It’s the start of SB62 day 2! We still don’t have an agenda adopted, which means negotiations cannot begin until that happens, and when the parties reconvene later this morning to try & finalize it again, there won’t be any language interpretation due to UN budget cuts. #SB62 #UNFCCC #UnitedNations

According to the WMO’s annual State of the Climate report: 2024 was the hottest year on record, the 10 hottest years have all been in the past decade, CO2 levels in the atmosphere are at an 800,000-year high, and in 2024 we surpassed the 1.5°C limit. Read more here: abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory...
