At the University of Miami's NOAA Cooperative institute for Marine and Atmospheric Studies based at the Rosenstiel School, hurricane research is making great strides to improve forecast accuracy which ultimately saves lives and property.

Scientists @davenolan305.bsky.social, GATS, Inc., Embry-Riddle University & @ncar-ucar.bsky.social kicked off CGWaveS campaign (Convective Gravity Waves in the Stratosphere) to study how gravity waves influence the atmosphere. The aim is to improve weather and climate forecasts. Supported by NSF.
