- I know that, but that is what the GOP was saying about the shutdown. That if it were important enough, the Dems would have insisted that they be permanent. And of course their base eats it up. MAGA will NEVER see the light and place the blame where it truly belongs.

They promised to "CONSIDER" voting on it, not to definitely vote. MAGA Mike has already said that they will NOT vote on it again. He said they have already voted against it and that is it.

"IF" (and that's a big IF), you manage to get hold of a Republican representative, they will tell you that it is the Democrats fault; that they are the ones who originally put an expiration date on the extended subsidies. Why didn't they make them permanent to begin with? And MAGA will buy it.

- Vets and children were never going to "starve". The Courts had already ruled that the SNAP benefits HAD to be released. That was just the best line to make the Democrats look like jerks.

They might not forget, but they are already prepared to blame the Democrats. Remember, the expiration date was originally set by the Dems. That is the argument that MAGA Mike has already geared up.

I get what you're saying, but there are two issues with just giving up and letting consequences fall where they may. 1) They will never understand that it is the GOP that is betraying them. They will find some way to blame it on the Dems. 2) Their FAFO affects more than just them.

Yes! His palace that he never plans to leave. He has even said that he estimates the completion of the grand ballroom to be by 2029. Why would you put so much time, effort and money into something you couldn’t get full enjoyment out of?

Good point. Something more accurate may be to say, “The rubes can learn about it with the rest of us while they step over the dead/dying bodies of their neighbors and friends who starved to death”.

If we are making these astronomical numbers with tariffs, then why can't we fund the Government??? If there is zero inflation then why are prices RISING??? If we are this so-called "Powerhouse Nation", then why are companies letting people go left and right??? I don't think I understand!
