I’m White. I know I have privilege. But everyone who’s lobbed that at me — that I don’t need accommodations or that I’m not “marginalized” just because of disability — has ALSO been White.

They use it as a period, end of sentence denial when it actually just proves their bias & discrimination.

Ah yes, the old “if you can advocate for yourself, you’re clearly strong enough not to need accommodations!” argument.

Discrimination loves to toss privilege at those of us in any way possible, but never acknowledges their own.

I have marginal hope for Bsky. More so, I suppose, than for most of humanity right now.

I joined Bsky when it was first available — but it was crickets and I was just burnt out on social.

I’m close to deleting Threads/Instagram, because the algorithms will never get better. Zuck doesn’t want them to. They aren’t broken, they’re intentional.
