It def helps. I find that a lot of the Mental Health techs that don't have a background in psych find the job very overwhelming. But since your aren't technically providing direct medical treatment you aren't required to have a degree in anything, just CPR certification

Lowkey idk if it is similar where you are but for whatever reason psychiatric hospitals will hire literally anyone who breathes to work as a technician if you think you could handle it.

I'd say post about whatever you want people to get excited over so you can attract the audience you want to foster. Especially niche things cause, by their very nature, there isn't a lot of that content but there are plenty of people who want it so advertising it will attract that audience.
