A newer to us place at the new kayak launch in Cascade Valley Metro Park. It has a lovely couple of trails that are about 2 miles to complete.

There are really old trees here. Some white pines are 300-400 yrs old and 160+ feet tall

Took a walk at a new to us place tonight, Bath Nature Preserve. Really pretty trails, and lots of fun birds! I saw the Common Yellowthroat, so cute! Also heard but did not see a Great Crested Flycatcher.

Went to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium with a friend last weekend and saw so many fun animals

Today we said goodbye to our very good man, Pterry. He found us on a date night walk to the neighborhood Winking Lizard and spent the next 13 yrs with us.He had so much attitude; unafraid of anything except fomo and always up for adventure. He gave his opinion relentlessly and never met a stranger.

I just said to my cat that we will all survive the debacle of being fed on time, not early. Clearly he does NOT believe me

Pterry now has leg warmers to prevent sores on his back legs since his arthritis makes it hard to keep his ankles up. Time will tell if they prevent anything, and also if he tolerates them well enough to prevent anything. I hear a lot of footloose playing in the house to celebrate the leg warmers 😂

Found a hole made by a pileated woodpecker on our walk today. It is LARGE and it went at least 75% of the way through the trunk. Pretty neat find
