A domain name is an address (e.g., google .com) and a website is a building.

Not every address is right for every building.

Do you want a one story home?

Or do aspire for a commercial skyscraper?

Pick the proper address for your desired building.

I got 99 problems and one of them is the 60-day lock on domain names where I updated WHOIS information

You?

Why did the domain name go to therapy?

Because it had a lot of unresolved DNS issues.

There’s nothing more exciting

than finding a great pending delete domain name

and hoping you’re the only person to put a Dropcatch backorder in

😬😳

I've seen many investors find gooses that lay golden eggs

By buying domains for between $10 and $50

And listing them for sale between $1,000 and $5,000.

A 2,000 domain name portfolio can cost $20,000 to renew yearly, but at a 1% sell-through rate can generate $60,000.

All successful investors make a number of investments in domain names that will NEVER sell.

You can't look at one domain in isolation and assume it's a good decision worth replicating.

Everyone makes mistakes.

Don't just assume. Don't follow blindly.

Do your own research.

"It's too late to start domain name investing." —Naysayers

The fact is that every year new trends emerge that bring a new vocabulary.

Most are transient and gone tomorrow.

Some stick.

There's an opportunity for every investor who can spot the right ones and act quickly.

Me doing outbound:

🥳 Got a quick response

🤔 No idea how to interpret the response

Great domain names require no explanation.

You don’t need to build a large portfolio to be successful.

If you're happy and profitable, then you’re on the right path.

Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

🙏 That feeling you get when you’ve found a killer domain name in pending delete

🤞 And hope no one else saw it

😬 So you put in a $59 Dropcatch backorder and wait with bated breath…

😢 To find that 50+ others saw it too

Tell me you invest in domain names without telling me you invest in domain names.

Domain names are opportunity. ✨

Remember Mmhmm, that fun (but hard-to-pronounce) company making Zoom meetings better?

They've rebranded to Airtime.

Great new name, but they're not at Airtime.com. They're at Airtimetools.com.

Video below explains the original name choice: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZPe...

Why do people watch Twitch? To see streamers play their favorite games.

That’s why we watch @DomainSherpa too.

Very soon @DNAcademy is going to offer a really fun "ride-along" learning opportunity for domain name investors.

Stay tuned! 🎉

My investing strategy is time in market not timing the market.

I focus on buying domains that maintain or increase in desirability over time.

Could sell tomorrow. Could sell in 30 years.

No shade for those who momentum invest. More power to you. Just not for me.

Just migrated from Cloud hosted TinyMCE to self-hosted TinyMCE for InsiderEmail.com and it worked on the second try

25 years ago I launched this 👇

Just to serve others who love Six Sigma process improvement like me.

Who knew it’d become the leading Six Sigma publisher, with a print mag, conference co, recruiting service, and more?

Yet I still get impostor syndrome and cold feet launching anything new. 😅

Which design do you like better?

The before or after?

Sometimes my iPhone (with AT&T service) doesn't ring when people call me.

And when that happens the voicemail doesn't work either.

I should probably get it fixed, but I actually don't mind it much.

It's kind of nice.

I have to hand it to Rob Snagged.com.

Targeting startups and founders looking to upgrade their domains and featuring the founder of Reddit in the ad.

Their advertising game is second to none.

Atom.com gets the silver.

Who do you think should get the bronze?
