Definitely breaking up monopolies as a top priority! What about a required rating system for networks based on adherence to journalistic practices? Like health dept ratings of restaurants? Obviously would require a nonpartisan commission or board & transparency. At least inform consumers.

To be fair, a lot of people who *call* themselves journalists do these things. We need a rating system like health dept has for restaurants for journalists standards.

Just a few Republicans could turn this all around if they had the courage to peel off and vote with Dems. Makes you wonder what kind of threats and incentives they are operating under.
