Did some #gamedev on my (very early) prototype, last time was 6 months ago! Was fun, again! Pictured is a quick placeholder character I made last year. My daughter took a liking to it, so guess I'll have to keep it around! 😅 She also demanded I finish the game.. I'll try. #GodotEngine

GDScript variadic args support in #Godot 4.5 is nice, although bit of a bummer it doesn't support typed arrays as of yet..

And now #DoomEternal beaten. Didn't play on UV this time though (scared of Marauders 😅).. Awesome game! Never played this one before, because I was not too keen (no pun intended) on the platforming. Wasn't too bad. Soundtrack is excellent!🤘 Ray-tracing was nice too. Now onto the Ancient Gods DLCs.

More #Linux gaming testing.. Replayed #DOOM 2016, last time on PS4 at launch. Didn't fully appreciate the game back then, but now at rock solid 180 fps w/ mouse & keyboard I really enjoyed it. Played on ultra-violence, previously switched to lower difficulty after the start.. 😅 Next up Doom Eternal!

Been playing Witcher 3 lately, on Linux even! Resumed my PS5-playthrough by transfering saves. Finished the game and the Hearts Of Stone -expansion, Blood and Wine up next! Good stuff, never played the expansions before.👌 #Witcher3 #DRM #GOG

Found a late-2011 MacBook Pro 15" on a flea market with quite decent specs (i7, 8 GB, Radeon GPU and the best display option). Swapped in a fresh SSD and installed #Linux: end result is a nice, cheap machine for my daughter (schoolwork and #Minecraft, mostly the latter 😅).

Working on an audio tool w/ #Godot. Started in #GDScript for rapid prototyping, hit a performance wall in waveform rendering. What to do? Converted the AudioView to C#, benchmarked ➡️ resulted in a hefty ~70-80X speedup! 🔥 Might do a blog post on this.. 🤔 #notgamedev #tooldev

Recently started playing #KingdomComeDeliverance (1st one). Really digging the game, the scenery and the atmosphere! Runs nicely on Linux, too (using Heroic Games Launcher). Have to pick up the sequel after this one is done, for sure. I trust it's even better? 😄

Recently resumed my nostalgia-driven playthrough of TES IV: #Oblivion (on PS3 of all places! 😅) started in 2022.

Found this quite cool ring (Ring of the Iron Fist), now I kinda want to make an unarmed build! 👊 Too bad I'd have to find it again... Maybe I'll try in #Skyblivion!

A year ago I added monthly purchases -table to my movie collection app (mhgames.org/2024/03/movi...). Didn't dare to display costs then. Now I added a neat visualization on the costs... 🫣💸 I've censored the big sums on this animation, but suffice to say, it was eye opening.. 👀 #movies #physicalmedia
