Every once in a while I think about how different our country would be if Gore had been president. No Iraq war and everything after. No dumb cut taxes on rich people to starve everyone else.

Climate change! Maybe we'd be getting rich selling solar panels and my kids could have a livable planet!

Oh wow! Anyone who misunderstands the phenomenon you're talking about (getting a kid into public school age) must not have had a kid recently! Or thought about what it might be like to have a kid! Or thought about other people's circumstances at all...

Recently saw parking spaces constructed this way in Poland. Seems like it'd be cheaper to build and maintain than paving, as well as absorbing water and all the other things grass can do in a city.
