This is just the beginning of my journey. In the next thread, I'll share more about my planning process, how I create detailed user journeys, and how I design the database structure without any technical knowledge. Follow along to see what happens next! #BuildInPublic

Step 2: Develop Features & Requirements—"Based on this Brief, help me gather comprehensive requirements by analyzing must-have features. Provide specific examples and identify unique project requirements." Then I discuss with the AI until all features are covered. #BuildInPublic

Step 1: Generate a Project Brief—"I am starting project [NAME] which will do [DETAILS] for [TARGET]. The goal is to [PROBLEM IT SOLVES]. Generate a project brief statement." This creates a clear, concise foundation that guides everything that follows. #BuildInPublic

My structured planning approach with ChatGPT involves six carefully sequenced steps. Breaking down the process this way improves the quality of AI responses—the more focused and specific your prompts, the better the output you'll get. #BuildInPublic

For this project, I'm using cursor for the first time, i have seen other developers work where they supply a markdown file containing the entire plan, then prompt it to follow each step. I am going to try this. The detailed plan is crucial, and I'll share exactly how I create it. #BuildInPublic

Are there similar products on the market? Absolutely. Do I care? Not at all. This journey is about learning, building, and the satisfaction of creating something tailored exactly to my needs. The process is as valuable as the final product. #BuildInPublic

What am I building exactly? A customer management tool for people working online. My ideal customer is my wife—a life coach who's constantly juggling WhatsApp messages, registers, and Excel sheets to track clients. I want to create a solution where she can manage everything. #BuildInPublic

Without a solid foundation, you quickly find yourself drowning in complexity. "I don't even know what I don't know" became my mantra. So for this more complex project, I'm starting with a comprehensive plan—and relying on ChatGPT to guide me through the process. #BuildInPublic

The biggest mistake I made with my previous apps? Jumping straight into development. I thought "Since I'm using AI to generate code, planning doesn't matter." WRONG. The initial steps are exciting, but once you try adding features without understanding the code... chaos. #BuildInPublic

What to expect: I'll share updates throughout this journey—learning, breaking things, fixing them, and pushing forward. If you're curious about how a non-coder builds a full-scale web app using only AI, this thread is for you. Let's see where this goes! 🚀 #BuildInPublic

The goal this time: Build a fully integrated web app—authentication, database, payment gateway, and more—while documenting every roadblock, breakthrough, and lesson learned. I want to test the limit of what non-tech people can achieve leveraging AI. #BuildInPublic
March 19, 2025 at 2:39 PM
That's the challenge I'm setting for myself. I'm building a customer management tool for online coaches without writing a single line of code myself. Everything will be generated through AI tools, and I'll share every step of the process transparently. #BuildInPublic

Why this project is different: Most AI-generated app tutorials only scratch the surface—basic setups with no real-world complexity. And almost everyone building these has some IT background. But what if someone with zero technical expertise built something meaningful? #BuildInPublic

My track record so far:
🔹 Focus Bell – A simple Android app to help build habits (my first AI-generated project)
🔹 SaveScout.app – A bank statement analyzer, my first web app where I learned AI development basics
Now I'm applying everything I've learned to something much bigger. #BuildInPublic
