Mile’s end. View landwards from the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse, February 2019. It complements your image. So, yeah, we’ve walked it, more than once. If you’re there, it’s hard to resist. A great walk.
Rockland, Maine, lighthouse breakwater, about a mile long, built by Army Corps of Engineers out of massive granite blocks. The top surface is flat so carriages could be driven out to the lighthouse. View is from the lighthouse back towards land, in February 2019. There’s some snow along one edge of the breakwater, the sun is shining, the sea and sky are blue, and three people, dressed for the cold, are nearing the lighthouse after making the walk from land.

View through plane’s window, as it comes in for landing at Fredericton. The plane’s wing, the river’s underwater sand dunes - the area surrounding the airport is dunes, by the way - and the green, forested land all around, with a slanted horizon and puffy white clouds. Beautiful.
