I root for the Jets so I fancy myself something of an expert on teams who aren’t trying. This isn’t a team who isn’t trying, this is a team who, because of injuries, coaching attrition and bad luck doesn’t have enough to make it work right now.

I’ve been thinking about this for the Jets for a while now. They are going to suck next year anyway and have about $100 million in cap space, take Tua, see if he’s got anything left (he doesn’t but w/e) while loading up to go get a QB in 2027

Both things are true. The Jets would get 50 dropped on them by Georgia and Trevor is playing out of his mind.
