Hard agree. Billionaires “flooding the zone” with bs goes a long way. Too much of progressive messaging is like spitting into a hurricane.

Don’t call the affiliates. The poor local staffers taking your calls have no power. Call the advertisers.

Why? Because "we're all in it together" -- or more precisely, "we all must join in and sacrifice some of our immediate individual interests in the name of long-term collective welfare" -- is diametrically opposed to hierarchy & domination, which are the fundamentals of authoritarian psychology.

It would not be possible for me to agree with that statement any harder.

I very much fear this is our future as well. The union cannot hold under the current information ecosystem. It is too easy for the powerful to manipulate the flow of information to the masses.

Christian nationalism has taken root with too many Americans enthralled by the pastors preaching it.

And so many Americans haven’t read any of those books. Or worse: they have but don’t care.

I couldn’t agree more. There are lots of issues that are negotiable. Whether a society should treat the individual rights of some citizens different from others is not one of them.

Would he settle for the Piece of Shit prize, instead? I like his odds on winning that one.

Same! It is a great reminder that there is still a lot of good in the world. Kindness and mutual respect. That is the key if we hope to get ourselves out of this mess.
