Qualified by "if you're really worried about your individual impact". You can worry about it, or not. If you choose to, heating less water is way more of an impact vs flipping off the a/c.

Put the AC on blast. If you're really worried about how your energy use at home impacts climate change, take marginally shorter showers.

An F-15 on a combat mission will burn between two (cruise) and twenty-five (full a/b) thousand gallons of jp-8 per hour. But, to my knowledge there's not really an energy system that uses jet fuel to generate electricity for A/C, so "a fuckton" is a reasonably technical answer to your question.

Also, Tesla buyers are the same folks who might buy a powerwall, another one of Elon's products with a lot of possible substitutes. Use some space on those flyers to advocate for non-tesla home batteries. This is all stuff the world needs, we just don't need to be getting from that guy.

The fliers should encourage Tesla owners to boycott superchargers which they definitely can do with a ccs adapter. This hits Tesla directly, vs the indirect hit from selling a Tesla that Elon already got the money for.
