I used to be fundamentally unreconciled (with the world, with people, with life) but later in life became more imbued with a kind of disappointed enthusiasm.
What’s called for may be some re-calibration, but not this level of diametrical over-correction. If this continues, history may be even less kind to white people.

But the underlying premise of all of this is an undeniable social good. We’re witnessing the erosion of civil society. To announce the termination of DEI programs as if that were a badge of honor is sickening.
