This is so fucking demoralizing. Nothing gets through to them. I live in a blue state! My classes aren’t mostly white! It’s so hard to feel like we aren’t so, so fucked rn.

This is also the first batch of students where a handful of them have introduced themselves by saying pronouns don’t matter. Just last week, one student stayed behind to tell me he doesn’t like this class because we talk about queer literature.
