Alarming, yes. Surpising? No. I lived there for 20 years, from Governors Bush through DeSantis, and watched it get stupider and stupider. I also spent half a year for each of the last 5 of those 20 in Tennessee, and watched it trying so hard to be as stupid as Florida. They'll be next.
