It's finally here again!

My new favorite piece of outdated tech is this 32mb SD card that came with a Canon PowerShot SD750.
It holds 9 pics at maximum resolution. Why would they do this?

It hasn't rained like this in years (at least since 2022). So in the temporary streams and ponds that form once the land is saturated with water, life starts sprouting back.

Epicauta cardi (Coleoptera, Meloidae)
Found a group of these black fuzzy beetles on the side of the road grazing on dead grass. Pretty interesting behaviour.

I did find a higher quality version, which looks more painterly and less AI generated, but some of the artifacting is also more visible.
Until I find a source for this image, given its age and the lack of credited artist, I'll just have to assume it is.
